Imola has a long front straight, making the need for a more defined designated "Acceleration Zone" critical.

The designated "Acceleration Zone" for our next race will be between the end of the last white concrete section along pit wall, and the Start/Finish line.

This makes for an area covering the last 20 grid spots prior to the Start/Finish line. While this is somewhat larger than ideal, it is the most visible landmark.

The white concrete section in question is shortly after the bend in the front straight as you approach the Start/Finish line. There is an overhead gantry with start lights just before the bend which should serve as a visual indicator for the drivers not on pole.

As always, the Pole Sitter has the right to begin accelerating at any time within this zone.

This image indicates the "Acceleration Zone" between the Yellow and Green lines. The Green line is the official Start/Finish line.
