  • Poll: Which timeslot best suits your availability?

    A recent discussion on Discord has raised the proposal to adjust our racing schedules, in order ot end somewhat earlier.

    After giving it some thought, I have come up wiht the following proposal, and would like feedback on it.

    1. Shorten pre-race practice to 30 minutes
    2. Change qualifying to a 2 lap system - actual format still TBD (solo, or group, etc.)
    3. Shorten the warmup between heats to 10 minutes from 15
    4. Keep current heat durations, and future standard race durations as is.

    This would allow us to take the race weekend from a 3 hour event, down to about 2 - 2.5 hours.

    Additionally, I am open to adjusting our start time. I propose the following options, which I want a vote on.

    1. 8:30pm - 11:00pm ish ET
      1. 5:30pm - 8:00pm PT
      2. 12:30 - 15:00  Sunday (Sydney)
      3. 14:30 - 17:00 Sunday (Wellington)
    2. 9:00pm - 11:30pm ish ET
      1. 6:00pm - 8:30pm PT
      2. 13:00 - 15:30  Sunday (Sydney)
      3. 15:00 - 17:30 Sunday (Wellington)
    3. 9:30pm - 00:00am ish ET
      1. 6:30pm - 9:00pm PT
      2. 13:30 - 16:00  Sunday (Sydney)
      3. 15:30 - 18:00 Sunday (Wellington)

    For the poll, please vote based on your absolute EARLIEST possible start time, based on your normal Saturday/Sunday schedule. As stressed in the original discussion, whatever changes we make must fit for the largest number of members.

    Schedule changes will not be brought in immediately. They will be brought in at a later date in order to provide maximum notification to all members.
